The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the MBA Class of `97, represented by Ms. Fatima Asad Said, Executive Director, Human Capital Excellence at Abacus Consulting, signed an MOU on Thursday, July 14, 2016. According to the agreement, a deserving student will be sponsored for the completion of his/her MBA degree from the LUMS Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), Pakistan’s leading business school. Sabzi.pk, a LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship Start-up, Secures Seed Funding at US$7.5M Valuation

Sabzi.pk founded by Farooq Haider, Aown Abbas and Muhammad Awais, closed its seed funding from the owners of a large Pakistani retail conglomerate at USD 7.5 Million, which is the highest value fetched by an LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship (LCE) company for seed round funding. It is a startup accelerated by LCE that provides an online and phone based fruits and vegetables delivery service for household consumers and corporate customers in the HORECA sector. By procuring directly from farmers and mandis, sabzi.pk is able to deliver fruits and vegetables to its customers at their doorsteps at prices usually cheaper than most retail outlets. Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Rana Received the First Teaching Excellence Award 2016

Dr. Muhammad Ahsan Rana, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Governance and Public Management, Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), received the Teaching Excellence Award 2016.
