Pakistan Society of Development Economists (PSDE)

Pakistan Society of development Economists (PSDE) is the only Pakistani professional association of economists and other social scientists. It provides an institutional framework for professional and research development. The society was formed in 1982 and located at the premises of Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PDE). The Society provides a platform for academics and policy-makers for exchange of ideas on the pressing economic and social problems facing Pakistan. It provide an important forum through Annual General Meeting and Conference for economic professionals, policymakers, businessmen and various schools of interested observers for debate concerning development issues.

The IEA is the international federation of national economic associations, formed by a core group of academics, scholars and distinguished economists, from developed and developing countries. The IEA was founded in 1950 as a non-governmental organization, with the aim to promote personal contacts and mutual understanding among economists in different parts of the world through the organization of scientific meetings, common research programs and by means of publications of an international character on economic policies and problems of current importance.

The International Association for Energy Economics was founded in 1977 in response to the 70's energy crisis. We are a worldwide non-profit professional organization based in the United States, which has members in over 100 nations, who strive to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas, experience and issues among professionals interested in energy economics. We actively seek those who are interested in energy economics and those who shape opinions and prepare for events which effect the energy industry.
