MBA Class of 2013 Signs MoU to Establish a Scholarship Fund at LUMS
LUMS is pleased to announce the establishment of a scholarship fund by the MBA Class of 2013. This generous initiative, formalised through an MoU signed at LUMS, will provide annual funding to support an MBA scholar. This partnership aims to advance LUMS’ mission of inclusive education by offering interest-free loans to MBA students.
The MoU was signed between Mr. Najam Us Saqib, Founder and CEO, DispatchTek Services, representing the MBA Class of 2013, and Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor LUMS.
LUMS Establishes the Computer Science Alumni Network (CAN
As the alumni community multiplies every year, so too does the need to build and strengthen alumni affinities. In light of this, the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with the Office of Advancement took the exciting step to establish the Computer Science Alumni Network (CAN) this spring.
With over 2500 Computer Science alumni and counting, LUMS harbours a vibrant CS alumni community that now has the ideal affinity space to come together for professional growth, learning opportunities, personal networking, and lasting connections.
LUMS hosted the 2nd Symposium on Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in Pakistan in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, World Bank, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Focused on ‘Accelerating the Electric Mobility Transition in Pakistan’ this year, the symposium brought together senior leaders, policymakers, academics, and industry experts. The event featured distinguished speaker sessions and panel discussions on progress, challenges, and ways for electrification of transportation in the country in line with global trends.
