The purpose of this guide is to provide an up-to-date introduction to the study of Language. The Linguistics/ Language Major ensures that students get a strong disciplinary foundation with a grounding in theory and methods, along with a choice of courses that will allow them to pursue more specialised interests in the course of the programme.

MGSHSS students secure 2nd position nationally in Pepsico CTG challenge 2018
Two students from the Department of Economics, Mushtaq Ahamd Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS), LUMS, Alyshan Parvez and Mohammad Mansoor have won the 2nd Runner -up position in the Regional Finale for PepsiCo Change the Game Challenge 2018 and have secured the 2nd position nationally as well.
